The Angels of Millville
By Catherine D.

When you speak of an angel, an image appears.  A beautiful creature glowing in white with wings of gold and a halo so bright.  A messenger of God coming to ease our fears.  A symbol of love, compassion, and faith, bearers of comfort, understanding and faith.

We’ve all known these angels; mostly in dreams.  But I’ve found true angels.  So many beam here in this haven for the frightened and maimed.  Some are shes and some are hes, are God’s finest.  They wake you with a smile, calm you with a hug.  Give their all to help you struggle with your fear.

These angels come in different shapes & sizes.  Some are tall and some are small, but all of them a blessing.  Some are young with busy lives to live.  Some are older with good advice to give.  But tall or small, old or young, sweet shesor tender hes.  These angels are the caregivers at Millville.

These angels are special and need to be named.  There’s Aimie & Chris, Karen & Cindy.Let’s remember Vince & Kevin, Sue & Joyce, Mat & Jen, Justin & Josh, Missy & Erica, Leanne, Holly, Kristina, and Deb.  There’s Molly & Hattie, Donna, Ashley and Amy, and Gina.

The therapy team, so thoughtful and kind.  There’s Rebecca, Allison, Dolly & Laura, George, Mike, & Bob, and Beverly too.  I’ll never forget sweet Debbie, my friend.  If I’ve forgotten your name, I haven’t forgotten you.  Thank God for you all, my angels of Millville.

I’ll always remember my stay here at Millville.  And all of you will hold a special place in my heart.
